Eat on a buget in Amsterdam

If you want to eat on a buget in Amsterdam you can generally spend much less on your meals than is suggested by others. My three favorite places to eat were: (1) Foodism, Oude Leliestraat 8, for great sandwiches and soup; (2) The Pancake Bakery, Prinsengracht 191 (a couple blocks from the Anne Frank Huis), for the best ham, cheese and onion pancakes (or any other variety); and (3) pretty much any falafel stand.
As a little desert, the greatest chocolate can be found at Puccini, Singel 184. Even if the bonbons are expensive, you only need one or two of them to satisfy even the most intense chocolate craving.

Conclusion : if you don’t want to eat in one of the many restaurants in Amsterdam, you should know there are many cafes serving decent - even inspired - food at reasonable prices.
